EIFFEL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM OF EXCELLENCE

Call for applications is open until January 10, 2024

The Eiffel Scholarship, provided by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, helps French educational institutes attract foreign students for diploma programs at Master’s and PhD levels. It also allows them to train future foreign decision makers from private and public sectors in the academic domain and to stimulate the applications of candidates from emerging countries (for the masters level) and from emerging and industrialized countries (for the PhD level).

Fields of study

Eiffel scholarship is available in the following fields:

  • Science and techniques (biology and health, Ecological transition, Mathematics and digital science and engineering)
  • Human and social science (history, French language and civilization, Law and political sciences, economics and management)

Level of study and Duration

The Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Program is offered at :

  • Masters level, for a duration between 12 and 36 months
  • Doctorate or Ph.D. level, for research periods in France of up to 12 months

BENEFITS:

At Master's level - a monthly allowance of €1,181 (a maintenance allowance of €1,031 and a monthly stipend of €150).

At Doctoral or PhD level - a monthly allowance of €1,700

In addition, the following benefits are covered:

  • International transport: a round-trip international ticket Country of origin – France
  • National transport: a train ticket to the first study location; a train ticket from the last study location to the airport for the return to the country of origin
  • Local transport: reimbursement of up to a maximum of €50 of the trip between the airport or train station and the first study location (taxi or public transport)
  • Health insurance by Campus France, for the time needed to register to French Social Security, for students from outside of the European Economic Area (EEA); Mutual health insurance (mutuelle)
  • Cultural activities: Subject to certain conditions, students may also benefit from a housing allowance, within the 3 months following the signature of the housing contract

Calendar Session: 2024

  • Opening of the call for applications: week of September 18, 2023
  • Deadline for the reception of applications by Campus France: January 10, 2024
  • Publication of results: week of April 1, 2024

How to apply

First Step

  • Contact your nearest Campus France office for guidance and advice on your study plans.
  • To learn about the procedures and deadlines for submitting an application, contact the international relations department of a French institution via its website, by e-mail, or by telephone.
  • It’s up to you to choose the school or university that best fits your plans for studying in France.

Second Step

  • The institution accepts and supports your application for the Eiffel scholarship
  • The institution submits your application online via the dedicated Campus France website

Only applications submitted by French higher education institutions are accepted. The interested candidates cannot submit their applications directly.
