Last year's students: where are they now?
What direction?
Some of last year's MSc students have been in touch to tell us what jobs they're doing now.

We've put that information together with some of the comments they made last year about the MSc they had been doing.

So in this newsletter, you'll find last year's students' opinions of their MSc, and what they're doing now.
Michael, MSc Financial Markets & Investments
Michael What he said a year ago about the MSc:
"It's a great MSc.  The teachers, who have professional experience in their field, train you in what you want to do in finance later on. They're also passionate about what they do. One of the many highlights for me was the Bloomberg room with 12 terminals.
I've been offered a job already, with Commerzbank in London. I'll be working in the Front Office."

What's he doing now?
"I am still with Commerzbank in FX Sales."
Caroline, MSc Human Resources Management
Caroline What she said a year ago about the MSc:
"I'm really happy about this MSc because I want to be an HR manager and this MSc has taught me how to be an HR manager. I've really learned a lot about this field. Almost all the teachers are actual working HR professionals which meant we got the practical / applied point of view on what they were teaching us."

What's she doing now?
"I'm now in charge of recruitment at IPSIS (group IT LINK), which is an IT consulting company in Paris. I recruit IT consultants for important groups in France."
Dhaval, MSc Project & Programme Management
Dhaval What he said a year ago about the MSc:
"This MSc is the perfect blend of academic and professional excellence. The course has provided me with certifications like PMP, Prince 2, MSP etc. which are well known in the domain of project management.
Guidance from the programme director and the administrative staff makes the stay in France easy for foreign students like me."

What's he doing now?
"I'm now working as a consultant with C & D International Dynamix, Paris. I provide consultation and support to numerous clients all over the world by using different tools and techniques of project management which were mastered during the MSc course."
Doris, MSc International Business
DorisWhat she said a year ago about the MSc:
"I liked the teaching. The programme director has been great; he uses a lot of interactive classes with a lot of group work: very international groups too. I've been in groups with people from Norway, Germany, USA, Canada, France, Honduras, Russia, China, Vietnam, Bulgaria, among others.
Living here, on the French Riviera is great. In fact, I want to stay living here. That's why I'm so happy I just found a six-month paid traineeship at Amadeus in Sophia Antipolis."

What's she doing now?
"I'm still working at Amadeus, as a marketing program specialist."
Benoît, MSc Web-Marketing & Project Management
BenoîtWhat he said a year ago about the MSc:
"I wanted an MSc specialization which would truly add value to my academic background for my upcoming professional career.
We've had a lot of support from the teacher-coaches who provide precious advice."

What's he doing now?
"The Web-marketing MSc was definitely the right choice to make my career as an e-marketing executive at Hager Electro SAS (operating in more than 20 countries worldwide). The areas of expertise that are required in my position were very well-covered in the MSc's courses  and environment (coaching sessions, project management courses etc.). I would recommend the latter to everyone who wants a career in  IT/e-marketing areas, where project management skills are really not just an option, but a survival kit!""
Monica, MSc International Marketing & Business Development
Monica What she said a year ago about the MSc:
"This MSc has given me a real specialisation; everything was related to marketing, communication, and sales.
I’ve been struck by the international environment here.
We’ve also had a lot of networking opportunities."

What's she doing now?

"I've been working in a French company that sells luxury brands for the French and European market. I'm a marketing and sales assistant. I've gained experience not only in the luxury and fashion market (Dolce&Gabbana, Emporio Armani, Burberry, etc.) but also in web-marketing techniques. I work on three different international markets: France, Spain and UK.  It's an amazing experience and I strongly encourage students to focus on the web-marketing sector because, as far as I can tell, it's  the future of marketing."
Shashank, MSc Strategic Event & Tourism Management
ShashankWhat he said a year ago about the MSc:
"Mady and Frederic, the main professors, are excellent. There was also an impressive selection of guest speakers and guest lecturers; they exposed students to the actual situations that we will encounter as managers. Moreover they are very well connected within the industry which helped me to a great extent in finding an internship and making valuable contacts.
I've got an internship at American Express, in the Business Travel division."

What's he doing now?
"I’m still working at American Express in Meetings and Events. I am meeting & event planner, France (specialist south France) and venue sourcing specialist (EMEA)."
Guillaume, MSc Corporate Financial Management
GuillaumeWhat he said a year ago about the MSc:
"The blend of theory, practical application, and interpretation of real-world events was just right.

Another benefit has been the excellent relationship with the programme director.

Aside from the acquisition of knowledge, I’ve also improved my public-speaking skills immensely. In fact, that skill has helped towards my signing a contract with a Swiss consulting firm. To get the job, among other things, I had to give a 45-minute presentation.

This job is with a company called Helbling; I’ll be in one of their German offices, in their Corporate Finance division. I’ll be working in financial restructuring mostly, as well as a bit of M&A."

What's he doing now?
"I'm still at Helbling, working in restructuring, turn-around, interim management, M&A, and debt-advisory."
Ciara, MSc Luxury & Fashion Management
CiaraWhat she said a year ago about the MSc:
"I've really liked all the input from the working professionals (Gucci, Baume & Mercier, among many others) who came to teach on the MSc. That was important; it meant that we got more than the academic perspective; we also gained from these professionals' hard-earned working experience.
I am now doing a PR internship at De Beers (the diamond company, and part of LVMH) on 5th avenue, New York."

What's she doing now?
"So after my PR internship at De Beers Diamond Jewellers in their US head office (NYC), I came back to the UK and joined the team at their global head office in London. I am part of the Global Marketing Department and my role is international public relations assistant. "
